AoA_Game Restored and Extended Mod v1.0
What is this “Restored and Extended” Mod?
This preservation focused mod aims to restore, fix, and slightly extend content which is already in Arena of Audacia 0.93 (the last public release) to create some sort of ‘definitive edition’ for this abandoned project. This mod does not add any new assets, instead it just restores and enables content which was inaccessible for one reason or another, while using in-game content to extend the game’s content a small amount for continued re-playability.
Context
Arena of Audacia was originally being developed by Datanony back in 2017 before they seemed to completely disappear from the space, leaving the game incomplete while being quite close to completion. v0.93 is the last version we have publicly available, and it contains the most complete set of assets and code. To help preserve this game and give people some sort of definitive version, this project aimed to create a lasting version of the game through a mod to enable as much of the game to be played and preserved as possible. Mod Features
- Technical improvements
- Made window re-sizeable (Has some minor issues, prefer fullscreen mode)
- Fixed some blurring issues by fixing some game flags
- Gameplay Restoration and Fixes
- Makes all skills accessible and unlockable through gameplay (Some may have bugs)
- Enables all Rounds found within the original files (up-to Round 60)
- Fixes some Boss’ having their HP set to 2 (default), set these bosses to the same as other high-round bosses
- Enables unlocking all Round ‘Checkpoints’ (including for the extended rounds)
- Extended Skills
- Increases the MaxHP skill to cap at 10 (14HP total) with a very high cost, intended for the new extended rounds
- Extended Gameplay
- Extends the game’s Rounds from 61 to 71 with 10 new custom high difficulty Rounds, each round having their own concept for the fight!
Extended Rounds
This mod features 10 newly created Rounds from 61-71 intended to be more difficult and have some concept fights not really found in the base game’s rounds. You can access these new rounds after completing Round 60, defeating the boss to ‘finish’ the game currently available, then the game will continue as usual and you can play up-to 71, which will then repeat. (Note: The original game would crash after Round 60 without the mod X.x)

- 62 : Queen and Her Peasants
- 63 : Slimer Girls
- 64 : Axe Party
- 65 : Sausage Fest
- 66 : Sticky Trap
- 67 : After Brothel Brawl
- 68 : Ranged Hassle
- 69 : Pre-Climax
- 70 : Hector Again, but Stupider
- 71 : Boss Rush Done Incorrectly
How to Install
This mod is distributed as an xdelta patch, you’ll need a patcher! I recommend getting the simple GUI utility found on Romhacking.net - https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/598/ . (These instructions will use this)
- First, rename the “data.win” file found within the game’s folder to “data.win.original” (we both do this for the patch and as a backup)
- Now open xdeltaUI and make sure you’re on the Apply Patch tab
- For the Patch, navigate to where you extracted the Extended Mod and select the “AoA_RestoreAndExtendedModv1_0_DeltaPatch0_93.xdelta” file
- For the Source File, select the deta.win.original we renamed previously from the game’s files
- For the Output File, navigate to the game’s folder where data.win was, and save the file as “data.win” like we had before we renamed the original
- If your version of the game was correct, this should apply the patch and now you can launch and play with the mod!
